Job Description

• We are looking for a skilled Purchase Officer to join our dynamic team in the precision/manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, vendor management, and material planning, along with experience in handling import documentation and negotiating for engineering raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management: Procure raw materials, components, and parts required for production while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
• Vendor Management: Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain long-term relationships with vendors to ensure efficient procurement operations.
• Import Documentation & Logistics: Handle all aspects of import documentation, including customs clearance and compliance with regulatory requirements. Track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Material Planning & Inventory Management: Collaborate with production teams to forecast material needs and ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid production delays.
• Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor material costs, negotiate better pricing, and manage procurement budgets to keep expenses within targets.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards and resolve any discrepancies in collaboration with the quality control team.
• Requirements:
• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a Government-recognized institute.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience as a Purchase Engineer in the precision or manufacturing industries.
• Skills: Strong negotiation skills, experience in procurement and import documentation, and knowledge of engineering raw materials.
• Other Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
